Bird on a Branch Cushion

Another lovely day...this time with good friends. A trip into the city to look at new cars then some lunch.

My, it was cold cold cold! Hopefully my toes will get their feeling back before I venture back outside later to meet up with Mr C to hear about his second day spent at the airfield. No lesson for him today as the weather wasn't good enough.

Forgot to mention yesterday... the airfield is in the countryside. The runway is grass. Sheep have been put in field to mow the grass while the weather is bad. So, when you're taking off you have to avoid the sheep. Only in Devon!



Keeping with the nature theme I made this Bird on a Branch cushion for my Mum. Its a Tilda design. I used the same green material as the quilt in 'A Quilt of Chocolate & Greenery'.

I think the combination of colours, buttons and beads brought it all together to make it one of the things I've enjoyed making most. It was a struggle to hand it over!

I'm sure it looks more at home in my home :)
